Asian horror movies are the best — memorably scary and realistic! That is why Hollywood is almost always remaking the popular ones to try to make more money!
Anyway, let us not talk about how lame the remakes were, but rather refresh the scary scenes of the originals and tally the points why they were the usual favorite horror movies to date!

Remember The Grudge? Find something common with it in this photo? lol
There are a lot of Asian horror movies that made us squeeze ourselves onto the edges of our seats —from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, to Thailand and the Philippines —their good taste and innovative representation for scary stories were all rooted from the real occurrences in their homeland, making their movies authentically frightening! However, in spite the hateful horror these movies gave us until our sleeps, there are still some scenarios and points in their movies which we can find funny [and that is to divert the scare actually!].
Top 3 – The Ring
Who would ever thought that a videotape, cursed as in the story, can kill? A strange origin but it actually scared millions of people! From the girl in front of the mirror combing her hair to the emergence of “Sadako” from the well —walking crippled and moving closer and closer to the tv screen until it comes out and kills you with a stare! Very original! And check out Sadako’s eyes! That’s really scary!

I did not watch the other 2 sequels of the movie as the first one already scared me to death! However, “Pankun” (the smart Japanese chimpanzee) made a good tribute to this horror movie, so funny! —click here to be amused —> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SjUt2VUp3g
Top 2 – The Eye
I never thought that this movie would be that extremely scary upon entering the theatre back in college. I have seen The Ring and I thought that this new movie showing can’t beat it! All thoughts falter when the first 5minutes of the movie came to play! Darn that old lady who just died in the hospital!
The story goes around a lady who just had an eye surgery for her to see again. After that transplant, she already started seeing strange scenes and feisty ghosts. What was good about this horror movie is that it won’t bore you —it has continuous horrific scenes that you would not have time to relax and breathe normally!

Top 1 – Shutter
This one’s my favorite! I watched this movie two years back and I can be honest in saying that I could not watch it again without covering my eyes when the extremely-terrifying-edge-pulling scenes I know would already come.

This was an excellent horror movie! Every scene was so real and terrifying that it will make you scream hard even until its ending! This one is highly recommended! If you want to give yourself a lifetime memory of a scary movie —this one is it!
I do not want to write further and refresh about some of its scenes since it really freaks me just thinking about it already! I can stop from here, friends. Just watch it!
